With the holidays approaching and New Year’s close behind, we’ve been obsessing over our holiday menus right down to the cocktails. As self-proclaimed laid back hosts, we love simple, stress-free ideas for food and drinks. They’re easy to riff on and they’re sure to please a crowd! That’s why we were excited to learn about a hack that makes any alcoholic beverage an instant-party hit.
By simply adding sparkling wine, you can make any cocktail fit for a celebration!
Take a mojito, for example. To make a mojito, you muddle lime juice, sugar, and fresh mint leaves together in a glass. Then you add a few ice cubes and some rum. Now instead of topping the drink with the standard club soda, opt for something a little more festive like sparkling wine. We like to add Pampelonne’s sparkling wine because it gives the drink a fun twist with flavors like elderflower, rosé lime, and blood orange. Another bonus: a stronger drink. Now that’s something to cheers about!
Elderflower Mojito with Pampelonne
2 tablespoons (1 oz) fresh lime juice
¼ cup (2 oz) white rum
Handful of fresh mint leaves (about 5-12 leaves) plus a leafy sprig for garnish
Pampelonne’s French 75 sparkling wine cocktail
In a highball glass, muddle lime juice, rum, and mint leaves together.
Top with Pampelonne’s French 75.
